Adiabatic-impulse approximation in the non-Hermitian Landau-Zener model

چکیده

In the non-Hermitian Landau-Zener models, we investigate dynamical transition both in parity-time symmetric and symmetry-broken regimes. Taking into account complex nature of energy systems, absolute value gap was used to determine relaxation rate system. To show dynamics phase transitions, relative population is estimate topological defect density nonequilibrium rather than excitations corresponding Hermitian systems. The result shows that adiabatic-impulse approximation, which fundamental Kibble-Zurek mechanism, may be adapted models examine near critical point. most basic two-level with an exact solution exhibiting mechanism are presented. It would interesting extend this scenario quantum many-body such as Ising model.

Non-Adiabatic Transition in Spin-Boson Model and Generalization of the Landau–Zener Formula

Non-adiabatic transitions are studied in a spin-boson model with multiple scattering points. In order to generalize the Landau–Zener formula, which describes the case of a single scattering point, we define an “effective gap” for a set of scattering points. The generalized formula agrees very well with numerical results of the nonadiabatic dynamics, which we obtained by a direct numerical metho...

Landau-Zener formulae from adiabatic transition histories

We use recent results on precise coupling terms in the optimal superadiabatic basis in order to determine exponentially small transition probabilities in the adiabatic limit of time-dependent two-level systems. As examples, we discuss the Landau-Zener and the Rosen-Zener models.

Non-adiabatic losses from radio-frequency dressed cold atom traps: beyond the Landau-Zener model

Non-adiabatic decay rates for a radio-frequency dressed magnetic trap are calculated using Fermi’s Golden Rule: that is, we examine the probability for a single atom to make transitions out of the dressed trap and into a continuum in the adiabatic limit, where perturbation theory can be applied. This approach can be compared to the semi-classical Landau-Zener theory of a resonant dressed atom t...

The Landau - Zener Model with

We study the dynamics of a spin coupled to an oscillating magnetic field, in the presence of decoherence and dissipation. In this context we solve the master equation for the Landau-Zener problem, both in the unitary and in the irreversible case. We show that a single spin can be " magnetized " in the direction parallel to the oscillating bias. When decay from upper to lower level is taken into...

Experimental realization of non-adiabatic universal quantum gates using geometric Landau-Zener-Stückelberg interferometry

High fidelity universal gates for quantum bits form an essential ingredient of quantum information processing. In particular, geometric gates have attracted attention because they have a higher intrinsic resistance to certain errors. However, their realization remains a challenge because of the need for complicated quantum control on a multi-level structure as well as meeting the adiabatic cond...
